When the first shot of a video is SonaOne chilling in on a three-wheeled bike in black and white and rapping his ass off, it’s easy to tell that Killa Driz’s latest single, ‘Last Time,’ is going to be interesting. Once Killa Driz comes on the scene by hanging on some mobile scaffolding, it’s official.

The video for ‘Last Time’ is all about the camera angles, but the song is all about lyrics. Sona blows up the intro, but he also goes back-to-back with Driz a few times on the chorus. Driz has some serious skills when it comes to flipping half a bar in English and half a bar in Malay. To top things off, Joe Flizzow comes in at the end and shows why he’s a living legend by giving out his third of this lyrical showcase.

‘Last Time’ is a slow burner with lyrical depth that requires multiple listens to get the full meaning. In modern times of shallow music, that’s a compliment of the highest degree.
