Khantrast explains the complexities of Yellow Fever on ‘She Bugging’

New York City going crazy in a different way

New York City is on top of the world right now. While it may be too early to put a fork in the San Antonio Spurs, the Knicks are up two games to zero and looking for a sweep. Since NYC is a basketball and Hip Hop town, the stars are everywhere. French Montana. Max B. Fat Joe. It’s even been suggested that Jadakiss sings the national anthem at Game three. People might even say that all five boroughs are bugging.

Brooklyn’s own, Khantrast, is paving the way in his own lane. Instead of having a seizure on the streets for Instagram views, he’s released ‘She Bugging,’ an understated jammie jam that starts off with the ill first bar, “Shorty told me she got Yellow Fever/So I had to look at her crazy like baby you bugging.” Instead of the run-of-the-mill golddigger, Khan has met a girl with her own money who pays for their dinners.

The video spends a lot of time in a claw game arcade, a nail shop, and a shop that buys and sells gold. Very New York and Asian at the same time. These backdrops make for Khantrast’s lyrics and stories to shine because while the whole city outside explodes into Knicks madness, he’ll be chilling with his woman because ‘She Bugging’ in all the right ways.
