JNKMN & CHOUJI keep it smooth On ‘HIKARI’
The music video comes 6 months after the single’s release
YENTOWN has been on a roll in 2024, with Awich leading the way as one of Japanese Hip Hop’s trailblazers [and number one on LiFTED 50 2024], while members such as kZM and Chaki Zulu put out records that kept fans fed all year long. A founding member of the group, JNKMN decided to end the year on a high note with the music video release of his single ‘HIKARI’ with CHOUJI.
Produced by SCRATCH NICE, the track is a slow burn and continues in the psychedelic arena he has been known for. Lacing the track in AutoTune, JNKMN croons on the verses while CHOUJI does his thing on chorus duty. The calming melodies provided are a perfect way to cap off 2024.
The video for ‘HIKARI’ is suitably somber as the rappers perform their verses late at night in an old-fashioned house.
