Japanese rapper JJJ passed away 5 days after announcing tour

The Hip Hop community in Japan is in shock

On April 8, 35-year-old Japanese rapper JJJ announced on his social media that he would be going on a tour called The Light. On April 13, the legendary figure in Japanese Hip Hop was dead. His agency, Space Shower Music, announced his untimely death on April 14, causing sadness and grief among his many fans. The cause of death has not been revealed, and Space Shower Music has said that JJJ’s family will have a private funeral.

JJJ made his debut on the Japanese underground Hip Hip scene in 2013 as a member of Fla$hBackS. Soon, the MC went solo and rose to fame because of his introspective lyrics and ability to produce quality beats and DJ.

According to Space Shower Music, his family’s wishes are that everyone in mourning listens to his music. In tribute, many fans have been making and sharing JJJ’s videos and playlists as a way to cope with this sudden shock.
