Jianbo, the Chinese-Vietnamese-British MC, has never been afraid to take chances, and on his latest track, ‘Exhale [Point Hill]’ with India Blue, he tugs the heartstrings in more ways than one. Released on Eastern Margins as a follow-up to ‘Cradle 2 the Sky,’ Jianbo has another riveting track to add to his discography.

‘Exhale [Point Hill]’ is built around a guitar loop from his late friend Dominic Morgan. After his passing, Dominic’s mother gifted Jianbo his guitar loop pedal, which had this recording saved. Jianbo then enlisted mutual childhood friend India Blue to sing on the track, and the result is a jazzy and soulful number.

The video is in the same vein as ‘Cradle to the Sky,’ meaning it fits the track’s emotional weight to a tee while still on the outlandish tip. Jianbo reteams with Alexandre Do for the video, and it’s a mix of laughing, dancing, and the joy of seeing someone one more time.
