DJ tWitch, Ellen DeGenres’ DJ from 2014 to when the show ended in 2022, committed suicide in a Los Angeles hotel room on December 14. He is survived by a wife and three kids.

Sometimes things aren’t what they seem. Steven Boss, who went by the name of DJ tWitch, was always seen with a smile on his face or a groove in his step. At 11:15 AM, paramedics got a call for a medical emergency at an LA hotel and they found tWitch, who was dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ellen wrote on Twitter, “I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart.”
