DJ Pee .Wee to play at Soap Seoul on May 10
The artist also known as Anderson .Paak has been crushing his all-vinyl DJ sets
There are a lot of talented people in the music industry, but Anderson .Paak is so multi-faceted that it’s not easy to keep track of what he can do. As a Rap artist who is one-fourth Korean, Anderson has put out a few modern-day classic records like Malibu and even worked with heavy hitters like Dr. Dre. He also is one-half of the 70’s-throwback duo, Silk Sonic, with Bruno Mars. That’s not all. He’s also a drummer and does about half of his performance with his group, the Free Radicals, from behind the kit.
In 2022, Anderson didn’t think he was doing enough so he decided to learn to DJ. Instead of taking the easy route, he wanted to play all-vinyl sets, so he started his new career with a new moniker, DJ Pee .Wee. In his first month of deejaying, he played at Coachella, the Hollywood Bowl with Dave Chappelle, and the after party for the Met Gala. His meteoric rise is told here:
Now, DJ Pee .Wee is heading to Korea for the first time to play an all-vinyl set at Soap Seoul on Friday, May 10. People coming to see him should expect Funk, Soul, Rap, and of course, a bunch of Anderson .Paak and Silk Sonic tunes. Wearing silly costumes, especially from the 1970s, is encouraged.
Check out DJ Pee .Wee this Friday night at Soap Seoul.
