Bohemia drops ‘Shehzaada’ as a warm-up for upcoming album
The Pakistani-American MC is back with a punch
Bohemia is one of Pakistan’s biggest rappers, and he’s been going at it since the early 2000s. His Rap career kicked off when he moved to California with his family at 13, after connecting with like-minded peers in Oakland. In 2002, he released his first-ever album, Vich Pardesan De, and the rest is history.
Fast forward to the present time, and Bohemia is still going hard. On April 11, he dropped ‘Shehzaada’, which he dubs as a “warm up” to his upcoming album entitled Rap Star Reloaded. Although it's slated for release on April 20, ‘Shehzaada’ is not on its tracklist, making it a standalone single.
The single, however, is two minutes and 55 seconds of straight heat. Bohemia finds the balance between sounding both nostalgic and fresh – which is a credit to his long-standing career. The instrumental borrows elements from the UK Drill sound we’ve grown accustomed to, while a melancholic synth melody leads the way, giving space for Bohemia’s broody flow to shine.
