Bohan Phoenix & Meechy718 go the way of Boom Bap for ‘CUBAN LINKS’

The song has the feel of an underground NYC banger

Bohan Phoenix is on a constant mission to make the music that he likes. He was stuck in NYC during COVID-19, which sucked but resulted in the ultra-groovy Cities Are For Fools album. Once things cleared up, he headed back to his motherland of China and put out his first all-Chinese album 你的骄傲Make You Proud.

After a stint on The Rap of China that resulted in the release of the diss song, ‘No Chain,’ Bohan is back in collab mode and goes the way of Boom Bap with ‘CUBAN LINKS.’ On the track, Meechy is on the come-up as an MC and you can hear it in his voice. They go back-to-back with four bars and four bars, and each line is lyrically sharp.

‘CUBAN LINKS’ has the feel of an underground New York City Boom Bap banger. It sounds like just after the Sun goes down and things might get a little dangerous if you are not in the right state of mind. Meechy718 and Bohan come correct with the lyrics, and after the song is done, it’s time to play it again.
