BAPE celebrates 30 years of street style with gallery in Beijing

16 never before seen art pieces plus much more

LiFTED | Marcus Aurelius | 22 Jan 2023

For the past 30 years, the Japanese brand BAPE has been at the forefront of Asian street fashion. To document this incredible fact, BAPE GALLERY is going on a world tour and the first stop is Beijing from now until June 30 at the Parkview Green Gallery. Eventually, the collection will move to New York, London, and Tokyo.

The gallery features 12 established and emerging artists showing 16 pieces for the first time. Sneaker freaks get to check out a whole wall of BAPE STAs from over the past 30 years. The home area will look like the hippest IKEA room ever made. Collectors will be salivating over the BAPE PLAY figurines like BE@BRICKS, Baby Milo statues, and even gold-plated skateboards. It’s 2023, so of course there is a [B]APTAVERSE that shows the history of the iconic brands as well as many immersive digital art experiences.

BAPE Gallery 30 year anniversary

Hipsters, skaters, Hip Hop heads, fashionistas, and anyone involved in streetwear in any way should spend a few hours checking out this once-in-a-lifetime collection.
