Nepal’s Balen drops ‘JAY MAHAKAALI’ on eve of inauguration

The new Prime Minister got bars

What if Hip Hop really ran the world? No wars. Just bars. No debates. Just DJs rocking the crowd. No fighting in the streets. Just B-boys and B-girls setting their differences through dance. Laws passed through freestyles instead of votes.

In Nepal, that idea doesn’t feel so far-fetched. Balen, the 35-year-old rapper turned politician, takes power today as his Rastriya Swatantra Party secured a landslide victory earlier this month. Just one day before his inauguration, he dropped ‘JAY MAHAKAALI,’ a powerful anthem aimed at unity, progress, and a new direction for the country.

Released less than 24 hours before being sworn in, the track reinforces Balen’s identity as a leader who speaks directly to the youth. The visuals blend slow-motion campaign moments with shots of everyday Nepalese people, capturing a nation in transition.

As Nepal moves forward, Balen is positioning himself not just as a politician, but as a voice of a new generation ready to lead.
