Awich assembles all-star lineup for ‘Asian State of Mind’

Jay Park, KR$NA, MaSiWei & VannDa unite to represent the East

In 1994, Nas dropped ‘New York State of Mind,’ the gritty, cinematic opener to his legendary debut album, Illmatic, painting a raw portrait of a city on the edge. Fast forward to February 2025, and Awich has unleashed ‘Asian State of Mind,’ a powerhouse track that brings together a dream team of Asian Rap heavyweights, giving them the mic to redefine the global Hip Hop narrative.

Fresh off being crowned LiFTED’s biggest rapper of 2024, Awich isn’t slowing down. As the reigning Queen of Japanese Hip Hop with her sights set on world domination, she’s calling the shots—and this time, the guys are showing up to her party. First in line? Jay Park, paying back Awich for her feature on the McNasty remix. Then comes KR$NA, bringing his signature fire to the cypher.

With no traditional hook, the track instead pulses with a central question from Awich: "What chu do it for?" MaSiWei and VannDa answer loud and clear—for their people. The final chant? A unifying statement of purpose: "Coming deep from the East."

Bringing together GOATs from across Asia on one track is no small feat, but Asian State of Mind makes it look effortless. The blend of Japanese, Mandarin, Hindi, English, Korean, and Khmer delivers a multilingual masterclass in Rap, proving that Hip Hop has no borders—only passion.
