SUSKI has come out of the gate firing. The Nepali-Hong Kong MC makes her debut with ‘Nari Nai Durbar Ho,’ which is a one-take video with 13 people acting in it. Not only is that a difficult thing to pull off logistically, but it’s throwing the gauntlet down and showing that she means business.

Translated into English, ‘Nari Nai Durbar Ho’ means the woman is the palace. This fierce feminist anthem also samples the first female Nepali singer, Melwa Devi Gurung. The song discusses SUSKI’s break into a male-dominated Hip Hop world and is performed in English, Nepali, and her indigenous language, Gurung Bhasa.

Just one of these would be enough to make someone take a look, but once the one-take video for ‘Nari Nai Durbar Ho’ comes on, the jaws drop open. While SUSKI is rapping, there are traditional dancers, B-girls, and whackers going in and out of the scenes. By pushing back against narrow beauty standards and spotlighting underrepresented artists, SUSKI is using her creativity, skill, and words to show that the woman is truly the palace in 2025.
