Four years ago, YoungOhm and MILLI put out a song called ‘อนาคตคือ,’ where they were students falling for each other, but got caught up in street protests…at least in virtual reality. The English translation of the song, ‘The Future is…’ was a heartbreaking warning about what was going on in the streets at that time.

That future is now, and YoungOhm and MILLI have both become mega-stars in Thailand and recognized globally. On March 17, the two Asian Hip Hop artists will be going head-to-head for a few awards at the TOTY Music Awards 2026.

The biggest clash comes in Album of the Year, where YoungOhm’s ไฟกลางคืน faces off against MILLI’s HEAVYWEIGHT. Also nominated are 2019 by James Alyn, Glow by 4EVE, and puffette by pami. It’s a stacked category, but if we’re trusting our gut, this might be YoungOhm’s award to lose.

They also collide in Solo Artist of the Year, alongside INK WARUNTORN, pami, and Salin. While both Hip Hop stars have strong cases, MILLI’s fearless energy and larger-than-life presence might give her the edge.

Elsewhere, they’re nominated in separate categories. MILLI looks like a strong contender for Music Video of the Year with ‘SICK WITH IT,’ as well as Hip Hop & Rap Artist of the Year. Meanwhile, YoungOhm is nominated for Pop Artist of the Year, which is an unexpected label for the rapper, but one that LiFTED hopes he takes home over the T-pop heavyweights.

Either way, the TOTY Music Awards 2026 on March 17 will be a massive night for Thailand’s music scene.
