If you’re looking for versatility, then look no further than Yonnyboii. The Malaysian MC has been at it since 2016 and has since been signed to none other than Def Jam Southeast Asia. Whether it’s ballads or straight-up Hip Hop bangers, Younnyboii has it all in his arsenal.

He exemplifies this on Persona, a 12-track album released on September 22. There’s ‘Dilamun’, a dreary and heart-tugging ballad. Then there are previously released singles like ‘Sengkek’ featuring ALYPH, and ‘Flash & Dash’ featuring Guccimith which has all the right recipes to rile up a crowd.

One of the standout tracks on the album is ‘Rollout’, where fellow MCs Meerfly and Killa Driz jump on it as well. The four-minute bilingual track opens up with Yonnyboii aggressively dropping its hook, before killing it with his verse. Meerfly takes on from where Yonnyboii left off, dropping a 16 in his signature baritone voice. Killa Driz continues the heat with the third verse, rounding off the track with an absolutely commanding showing.
