Graffiti and Hip Hop culture have gone hand in hand since the early days. In fact, it’s regarded as one of the pillars of the genre, alongside MCing, DJing, and breaking. They’re all art forms within their own right by being an expression of resistance and breaking contemporary and societal norms.

So, it only made sense that Tuan Tigabelas, LiFTED’s January cover star, and Indonesia’s Hip Hop OG, linked up with his compatriot Manutized for a collaboration with Diton Premium, an Indonesian spray paint brand. The three-way effort birthed ‘PREMIUM’, a two-and-a-half minute track that’s reminiscent of that BoomBap 90’s ish. This also marks the second time Tuan has collaborated with Diton, having dropped a track last October as well.

An Old School beat produced by Muztang makes up the track’s instrumental with acoustic percussion taking center stage. Tuan doesn’t hold back on this take, spitting his bars in what feels like a masterclass for all the young listeners. Manutized sings the track’s hook, adding a soulful element to ‘PREMIUM’, while also dropping a quick 16 as well. This is one for Hip Hop heads and graffiti writers.
