The Rap of China 10: The Battle of the Gods is coming in 2026
The historic show is celebrating its 10-year anniversary
Nearly 10 years ago, The Rap of China was released, and all things Hip Hop-related changed in the Middle Kingdom and Asia. Millions of fans tuned in to watch MCs battle it out. Eventually, GAI and PG One shared the championship, and things were never the same again.
Then the unthinkable happened. Chinese sensors started working overtime to regulate anything with elements of Hip Hop culture in it. Tattoos were cracked down on and lyrics glorifying drugs, sex, or violence were banned. GA and PG One were even pulled from TV shows.
As it does, Hip Hop found a way to survive and thrive in China. Soon, GAI was making more patriotic songs, and rappers were avoiding sensitive topics. The Rap of China has continued to thrive for the last decade, and in 2026, the show will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary with The Rap of China 10: The Battle of the Gods. There is a lot of secrecy at the moment, but season 10 is looking to reshape the Chinese Rap industry with the biggest production yet.
