Suboi & the European Union collab for clean energy in ‘The Power’
It’s not often one artist gets to work with 27 countries at once
Suboi has been doing things differently since the beginning. She got her first shine when US President Barack Obama beatboxed for her at a town hall event in Vietnam. Since that time, she’s become one of the biggest artists in Asia and is now dubbed Vietnam’s Queen of Rap.
The 27 nations of the European Union [EU] were seeking a spokesperson for their clean energy initiative, and Suboi just made sense. Their collab has arrived in the form of a song and video, ‘The Power,’ produced by Nodey. It focuses on initiatives for individuals and local communities that are supported by the EU in Vietnam. Whether it’s a delivery driver changing to an E-bike or a business using renewable energy, the EU is there to help.
‘The Power’ video is a quick slice of daily life showing Suboi in the studio as well as on the back of an electric scooter, having the time of her life in the notoriously hectic traffic in Vietnam. She said of the track, “ I’m proud to collaborate with the European Union and to be part of this innovative campaign that connects sustainability, music, and empowerment for a better future for Vietnam.”
