Mrs M & Erdenechimeg float with Mongolian Afrohouse vibes on ‘Uula’
The refreshing track has a cold-weather feel
Mrs M has been doing a lot of different things lately. Instead of staying pigeonholed as the Queen of Mongolian Hip Hop, she’s branching out and making moves in new spaces. Her latest collab, ‘Uula’ with Erdenechimeg, is the perfect example of that.
‘Uula’ has Mongolian-style Afrohouse vibes. With breezy vocals and rolling drums, Erdenechimeg starts off the song singing in the mountains. Soon, Mrs M pops in with her signature whisper rhymes, and the track is going. Both women then go back and forth as the tension rises to a crescendo.
Usually, Afrohouse symbolizes beaches in Bali or nightclubs in Tulum. On ‘Uula,’ Afrohouse permeates the air, but it’s a cold breeze pushing people to prepare for winter. It’s the perfect soundtrack for a catwalk, a makeup commercial, or getting ready for a night on the town with the girls.
