Leon Fanourakis proves that Punk is the new Rave on ‘Push Back’

The Japanese rapper blurs the line between mosh pits & dancefloors

Over the years, Leon Fanourakis has carved out a lane by refusing to stay boxed in. He linked with Taka Perry on ‘EXPRESS,’ where the duo flipped the sounds of Japan’s rail system into percussion. Then, they leveled up again on ‘BELIEVE’ alongside RAMENGVRL, sokodomo, and YNG Martyr for one of the wildest cross-border collabs in recent memory.

Now back in solo mode, Leon crashes through the speakers with ‘Push Back,’ a blistering collaboration with Billionboard that feels like a mosh pit colliding with a warehouse rave. Dressed in a studded leather jacket covered in patches while rocking braids and gold fronts, Leon looks like Punk Rock mutated after spending too many nights at the underground Hip Hop club.

The beat is chaos in the best way possible. ‘Push Back’ is a sample-heavy mix of Hard Techno, Rage Rap, and Festival Trap that sounds built for blown-out speakers and crowded dance floors. Even with a runtime under 90 seconds, Leon squeezes in sharp flows, clever punchlines, and enough energy to make the track feel larger than it is.

On ‘Push Back,’ Leon Fanourakis captures where youth culture is headed in 2026: genre lines erased, subcultures merged, and the rave scene getting louder, rougher, and more rebellious by the minute.
