If you’re anywhere close to Malaysian Tik Tok, you’d know that JOBROSEPH [real name Joseph Lee 李旻健] is one of the country's funniest and fastest-rising skit comedians. Even if you’re not, you’re bound to have seen him and his glorious locks make some of the most entertaining Cantonese content out there in the last few months.

Like many social media influencers, JOBROSEPH has taken his first dip into the music industry – dropping his debut single ' 槟城美女 [Penang Beauty]' with an accompanying music video. The trilingual track [Mandarin, Cantonese, English] is a bouncy tune that really leans into his aloof persona. Rapping in a monotone flow, Joseph shares his undying love for Penang women – celebrating their [self-proclaimed] placement on the Michelin Guide and being “The Treasure of Asia.”

Naturally, the music video itself was filmed in Penang’s Georgetown. It sees Joseph in various iconic locations across the city – like its old town, hawker centers, and jetties. The video also features various Malaysian influencers such as Vanessa Chong and Cabi - a who’s who gathering of Penang’s influencers.

The track itself has already garnered over 147,000 views since its release, so we can only hope JOBROSEPH continues down this trend of laidback Hip Hop in the near future.
