Has G-Dragon found the answer to the problem of Air Force 1s’ wear and tear?

Sneaker culture has always been prevalent in Hip Hop, whether it’s through bars about specific kicks or rappers doing up collaborations with the biggest brands. What is more iconic within the culture than the classic all-white Nike Air Force 1s?

If you’re anything like Dr. Dre, you’d have a pair for every single day of the week to maintain its freshness. However, Korean megastar G-Dragon’s collaboration with Nike might just be the answer to all of our wear-and-tear fears with AF1s.

G-Dragon’s new kicks are called Para-noise, which are pairs of Air Force 1 Lows designed by the South Korean megastar. Instead of white laces and a white Swoosh, they’re black, with a PEACEMINUSONE [G-Dragon’s fashion label] logo on the front.

The unique twist, however, is that the white paint on the upper part of the sneakers is meant to fade away through wear, and instead of an ashy-looking exterior, a freestyle design by G-Dragon is revealed over time. Its midsoles are also painted with streaks, adding a worn touch, as opposed to a clean look.

According to Snkrdunk Magazine, a new iteration of Para-noise is set to drop in the Fall of this year, with more colorways rumored to be in the works. So instead of buying a pair of all-white Air Force 1s for every day of the week, you could rock with G-Dragon’s unique design. The best thing about it? It’ll look even better with every wear.
