Daichi Yamamoto, MIKADO & NENE link up for late- night Trap cut ‘違う [Different]’
The single promotes the upcoming POP YOURS Hip Hop festival in Japan
Japanese rapper Daichi Yamamoto joins forces with MIKADO and NENE on ‘違う [Different]’, a new single created as an official track for the upcoming POP YOURS Hip Hop festival. It’s a collaboration that leans into the contrast style of each artist.
Produced by KM, the track is a Pop Trap offering that’s both light and melodic. The beat is simple with driving drums, clean basslines, and a groovy rhythm. It leaves ample room for personality, and each artist steps in with their own interpretation.
Daichi Yamamoto opens with a measured delivery, gliding across the instrumental with relaxed lyrics. MIKADO follows with a verse that carries a similar musicality, maintaining the flow while adding a sharper tone. When NENE enters, the track shifts again, her presence injects a layer of attitude and balance into the lineup.
The three voices settle into the same rhythm, turning the track into a cohesive banger. The result is a song that reflects the diversity of each artist while they ask only one thing of the listener–to party on into the night.
With its upbeat tempo and melodic verses, ‘違う [Different]’ feels built for late-night crowds. As anticipation grows for its live debut at POP YOURS 2026, the track already hints at the kind of energy it could bring to the festival stage.
