How do you pick the best DJ on the planet? Well, you could just make a list like some magazines do and let the DJs pay to be on it. That wouldn’t be fair, would it? Instead, how about getting great DJs to judge the skills of others and broadcast it around the world?

The DMCs have been having DJ battles for World Supremacy since 1985 and their list of champions reads like a who’s who of amazing DJs including Cash Money, A-Trak, Craze, Roc Raida, Kentaro, Dopey, Rafik, Mr. Switch, Vekked, Yuto, Rena, Skillz, and JFB. This year’s World Finals is Saturday, December 3 to decide who wins the esteemed title.

DMC World Championships

The 10 contestants are from all around the globe. They include K-Swizz from New Zealand, Topic and PRMX from France, Tommy P-Nutz and Mike L from the UK, Pearly from America, Is-K and DJ Rion from Japan, Nago from the Netherlands, and Codax from South Africa.

The good news for all the contestants is that last year’s winner, DJ JFB, is not competing. Usually, winners want to try and defend their titles, but JFB worked hard at the DMCs for two years in a row, as he won the team championship with DJ Angelo the year before, and doing this is not an easy task.

Tune in at 7.30 PM [GMT] to watch the World Championships live on December 3 on the DMC World Championship page here.
