Youngohm can do no wrong. The Thai MC is in the prime of his career, and anything he touches automatically has astronomical numbers. His popularity is deserved because he is from the trenches and has scaled his way into superstar status.

Three days ago, he partnered up with ILLSLICK and released ‘We’re the Same,’ and it hit like a bomb. With more than 11 million views of just a picture of the duo happily playing video games on YouTube, the Trappy, slightly sentimental track needs a proper video and release as soon as possible.

In the song, both MCs discuss the ways they are alike. Youngohm raps that since he’s in ILLSLICK’s town, he’s got to make ILLSLICK proud. They go back and forth a bit before ending with the line “Just Big You and Big Me/Just Big 2 F*ck Big 3.” While that can be chalked up to the braggadocio of Hip Hop and Kendrick Lamar’s influence in 2024, it shows that MCs are giving out warning shots by sticking up for themselves and not being happy with only being in the top five anymore.
