YOUNGOHM rides into heartbreak on ‘Could U Love Me?
The lead single from his 4th album blends Thai tradition with raw emotion
Heroes are supposed to ride in on white horses. YOUNGOHM flips that image on its head. In his latest single, ‘Could U Love Me?,’ the Thai superstar appears as a lovelorn wanderer crossing the desert on a black horse. The cinematic track serves as the lead single from his fourth album, T.H.A.I. [short for Tradition, Humility, Ambition, and Independence] and finds himself balancing cultural pride with emotional vulnerability.
Built around the sound of a traditional Thai lute, ‘Could U Love Me?’ weaves Thai identity into every frame. Sepak takraw, kite flying, Muay Thai, and high-speed taxi drifting all make appearances, while YOUNGOHM roams through a museum searching for meaning in the artwork around him and wondering why his own heart is locked away inside a safe.
The video also borrows from Middle Eastern imagery, creating a striking visual contrast against its unmistakably Thai foundation. As one of Thailand's biggest rap stars, YOUNGOHM could easily rely on swagger alone. Instead, ‘Could U Love Me?’ leans into melancholy, proving that his soulful singing has become just as essential to his music as his rapping.
