In 1999, Nike released yellow and black Wu-Tang Clan Dunks High, and the collector world lost its mind. This was because only 36 pairs dropped for public consumption in a nod to their Enter the Wu-Tang Clan [36 Chambers] debut album. This made the Wu Dunks some of the most collectible shoes that have ever been released. Recently, a size nine of those original 36 was sold in the sneakerverse for US$50,000.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of that drop, the instantly recognizable Wu-Tang Clan Dunks are going mainstream. They will be available at sneaker shops around the world for an estimated US$150 with the same Wu logo on the tongue and heel as the 1990s version.

Over the years, the Wu-Tang Clan has built up a colossal empire with music, TV shows, merch, and more. In 1999, the Wu-Tang Dunk was the perfect extension of the brand. In 2024, it’s the perfect way to keep the Wu on the tip of everyone’s tongues.
