Warren Hue shows he’s on the radar with ‘BLACKONBLACK FREESTYLE’
The Indonesian MC makes a video from his On The Radar performance
A week ago, Warren Hue dropped a freestyle on Gabe P’s platform, On The Radar, and his fans went wild. His last two releases, ‘RODEO’ and ‘SPLIT’ had been alternative takes, so fans of Warren’s Hip Hop side were excited. This led Warren to release ‘BLACKONBLACK FREESTYLE,’ his lyrics from the On The Radar freestyle with a self-directed video.
In a press release, Warren Hue said, “With my headphones on, I searched for type beats, feeling the need to prove myself. The verses explore various topics, including the lifestyles in LA and Jakarta, and touch on themes of motivation.”
Warren goes for it in both the song referencing Snoop, Migos, the SATs, JID, Jason Statham, and even climate change in his raps. The video is an off-kilter, DIY-meets-Y2K triumph that fits the lyrics perfectly.
