‘Walking Street’: Yonggu, BOSS RUFF & $WORD’s deliver an ode to the city after dark
An international collab between Thailand & America
Thai rapper Yonggu links up with $WORD [formerly known as Young J] and American artist BOSS RUFF for ‘Walking Street’--a brooding, bass-heavy anthem that captures the chaotic energy of Thailand’s infamous nightlife strips. Produced by P.Nigel, the track marks the second time Yonggu and BOSS RUFF have joined forces during the latter’s ongoing visit to Thailand.
‘Walking Street’ is pure menace. The beat is built around rumbling low-end bass and a set of haunting piano chords that echo like footsteps in a dark alley. From the jump, the tone is set. This isn’t a love letter to the neon lights of Pattaya or Bangkok. It’s a warning to stay sharp or be swallowed.
Each rapper brings a different shade of grit to the track. BOSS RUFF kicks things off with a self-assured verse that walks the tightrope between cocky and cold. His delivery is effortless like he owns the street and everyone on it. Yonggu follows up with a slick, unrelenting flow that proves why his presence feels right at home in this part of the world. Then comes $WORD, delivering one of his strongest verses under the new moniker.
Together, the track is more than just a late-night flex. It’s a soundtrack to danger, confidence, and the raw edge of the city after dark.
