Thaitanium catches a body on their Half Court Live Performance
When Thaitanium & Blahzay Blahzay in the house oh my god
When the Bemers are backed up on the basketball court, you know it’s about to go down. Thai Hip Hop legends Thaitanium pulled up two sleek black BMWs onto the court and set up a DJ under the hoop. That means no basketball is getting played. Instead, a six-song Half Court Live Performance is happening where OG Blahzay Blahzay shows up to catch a body.
‘F. Thaitanium’ is the first song up, and both Khan and Day kill the track and show why they’ve been around for so long. ‘24 Summers’ has that cypher energy with each MC chewing up their mics. DJ Buddah slips into Blahzay Blahzay’s big hit, ‘Danger’ smoothly as he works some call and response with the crew going from Brooklyn to Bangkok.
After a smoke break, Blahzay drops into ‘Nobody Stoppin’ Us,’ which has a nice sample for the region. While on the original track, Lil Fame of MOP joins Blahzay; this time around, the whole Thaitanium team gets in. ‘Too Humble’ is next on the mix, and it’s Big Calo’s time to shine.
The final track is ‘Wake Up [Bangkok City],’ a song the crew recorded with Snoop more than a decade ago. While the Top Dogg doesn’t drop in for his verse, it’s a fitting end to the Half Court Live Performance because it’s an ode to Thaitanium’s home, where everyone is now allowed to smoke that legal.
