Taipei turns into a trap house for Quavo [Gallery]
DJ Mr. Gin, OTA Teezy & Multiverse opened the show
When So Wonderful announced they were bringing Quavo to Taipei, the first reaction many people in Taiwan had was disbelief. This is because recently, some shady promoters announced the bookings of Tyga and Kanye, only for the shows to be canceled at the last minute, and ticket refunds were difficult to get on purpose.
In the end, the show sold out and Quavo turned Taipei into a trap house for a few hours on Saturday evening, playing his hits [‘Congratulations’ and ‘Motor Sport’], his latest tracks [‘Trappa Rappa’], and the big finale songs [‘Bad and Boujee’ and ‘Fly Away’]. It was a quick-hitter, but Taiwan doesn’t get too many big-name rappers, so the Hip Hop contingent was satisfied. Opener OTA Teezy got his Auto-Tune on, and Multiverse, a team of 5 MCs, ended their set with the anthem ‘有緣作伙,’ which got people in the mood for the main act.
