Swae Lee to the rescue at Clockenflap
The Hip Hop artist takes over Joji’s Sunday night closing slot
Running festivals is not for the faint of heart. No matter how much time and effort is spent making the fan experience go smoothly, a lot of times things go out of control.
This week, Clockenflap had two big-name cancellations just days before the festival. On November 27, D4VD pulled out due to doctor’s orders. But the biggest cancellation of all was on November 29 as Joji, who was Sunday night’s headliner, canceled the rest of his Asia tour.
The Clockenflap team went into overdrive as they searched for someone to take Joji’s place as people on their social media were posting about demanding refunds because their favorite acts would not be performing.
On Thursday, November 30, Swae Lee was announced as the headliner for Sunday night, taking Joji’s slot. With hits like ‘Sunflower’, ‘No Type’, and ‘Black Beatles’, one half of Rae Sremmurd is here to save the day, and add a bit more Hip Hop to a festival that only had a few Hip Hop acts.
