ShiGGa Shay’s stellar resume is very long on overachievement. His musical journey started as a 17-year-old Unsigned Talent of the Week on WorldStarHipHop and grew from there. He’s played at the White House, done a collab with Jay Park, opened for the Wu-Tang Clan, and has appeared at Singapore’s National Day, Ultra Singapore, and the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix concert.

With all of this success and accolades, what do you think ShiGGa would tell his younger self?

The answer is in the third single from his all-Mandarin mixtape Hanyu Pinyin called ‘Overachieve 出奇制胜,’ produced by superjdoug and ZO. ShiGGa dives deeply and introspectively, never taking no for an answer, even when others try to deny his potential.

In a press release, ShiGGa had this to say, “I wrote this song at a pivotal moment in my life, knowing I was about to step into an unfamiliar environment and away from my loved ones for a long time. Reflecting on my journey as an artist from Singapore, I thought deeply about the dreams and ambitions I held as a kid. This track serves as a reminder to my younger self to persevere through life's challenges. It embodies the resilience and determination that have guided me on my journey.”
