RAMENGVRL & the Going Noodles crew hit the gas on ‘GERCEP’
Mamang Kesbor, Ariel Nayaka, KENZ & Soren Kai take the wheel
With her album Lost in Translation [aka LIT] on the horizon, RAMENGVRL is already turning up the heat with a new Going Noodles posse cut. On October 20, the Indonesian Rap icon dropped ‘GERCEP,’ short for gerak cepat [which is repeated 1000 times in the song] or “hurry up” in English. It features Mamang Kesbor, Ariel Nayaka, KENZ, and Soren Kai.
The track vents about modern anxieties and expectations placed on a too-fast, too-plugged-in generation. RAMENGVRL opens the song in Indonesian with her trademark bite, before Soren Kai, Ariel Nayaka, and KENZ glide in with smooth English verses and melodies. Mamang Kesbor shuts it down at the end with a hypnotic, melodic finish. The hand-off between MCs is seamless, making ‘GERCEP’ the kind of track that’s built for a live stage show with surprise guests, mic passes, chaos, and energy.
The video is Fast & Furious-coded with drift tracks, Shell stations, and rain-soaked flexing, while putting a spotlight on the entire Going Noodles squad. RAMENGVRL may be in the driver’s seat, but this time the shine is shared, and the crew proves they can drift around a corner just as hard as she does.
