LỰU ĐẠN celebrates Bruce Lee’s visual language with new capsule
Bell-bottoms, belt buckles, motorcycle jackets, athletic gear, T-shirts & more
In the late-1960s, Bruce Lee tried to make it in Hollywood. One of his co-stars [and one of the greatest basketball players ever] Kareem Abdul-Jabbar said, “America was not ready for an Asian Hero” in the 1960s. Bruce left the US and soon built his myth in Hong Kong. Now, over 50 years later, Bruce Lee’s aura shines brightly across the globe because he changed movies, fashion, martial arts, and Asian visibility forever.
Vietnamese-American fashion brand LỰU ĐẠN has released a Bruce Lee capsule to celebrate AAPI Month focusing on his visual language. This means it is filled with bell-bottoms, massive belt buckles, motorcycle jackets and pants, athletic gear, ringer T-shirts, and more.
Available now, the LỰU ĐẠN Bruce Lee collection uses archival imagery and digital retouching with AI to put the outfits on the man who inspired them. The capsule is meant to inspire a new generation of fashionistas who have always found inspiration in a man that was ahead of his time.
