In an era when most artists chase quick-hit singles and disposable EPs, Vietnam’s Low G is doing the exact opposite. One of Asian Hip Hop’s most reliable innovators, Low G has dropped L2K, a fully realized 16-track album that rewinds the clock to the 2000s and proves the album format still matters.

Built like a vintage radio show that doesn’t exist anymore, L2K comes with host intros, stingers, interludes, and outros, giving the album a warm, lived-in cohesiveness. It’s the perfect format for Low G to flex every side of his artistry.

The first single, ‘Love Game’ with tlinh, channels the golden era of Hip Hop and R&B duets—think Ja Rule & Ashanti, Nelly & Kelly Rowland, Jay-Z & Beyoncé. The chemistry clearly lands because the video has racked up 6.5 million views in just two months. His follow-up single ‘Nét’ hits just as hard, with Low G and his squad of skaters and BMX riders turning a bus into a full-blown party zone.

But L2K goes deeper than the hits. ‘Peace N’ Love’ with Mỹ Anh feels like a victory lap with its crisp drums and triumphant horns. ‘Long’ surprises with an interpolation of Eve and Gwen Stefani that flips nostalgia on its head. ‘Celeb Date’ pulls listeners straight into Low G’s mind, blending humor, honesty, and flair.

Ultimately, L2K is more than a throwback. It’s a celebration of Low G’s range, ambition, and ability to bring an entire era back to life while keeping it fresh for 2025.
