LiFTED celebrates 2 years of helping elevate Asian Hip Hop
What a wild ride it’s been so far…and we’re just getting started

In March of 2021, we started LiFTED to give a megaphone to all the dope MCs, DJs, graffiti writers, artists, producers, B-boys, B-girls, fashionistas, and other people involved in the Asian Hip Hop scene. For the past two years, we’ve been searching from Borneo to Nepal to Tokyo to Seoul to Taipei to Hong Kong to Johor to Chengdu to Ulaanbaatar and everywhere in between for the freshest tracks, the illest rhyme-spitters, the craziest body twisters, and the dopest wall blasters.
Over the last 12 months, we’ve had cover stories from Ted Park from America, JB from Hong Kong, GinJin from Mongolia, Yayoi Daimon from Japan, Warren Hue from Indonesia, pH-1 from Korea, DaBoyWay from Thailand, Joe Flizzow from Malaysia, Alex Bruce from the Philippines, MC Yan from Hong Kong, DJ RayRay from Taiwan, and Ruthko from Cambodia, all heavyweights on their respective scenes and making moves internationally. LiFTED has written nearly 900,000 words on Asian Hip Hop culture, and we’re loving every minute of it.
In May, we will put out the second edition of LiFTED 50, where we rank the MCs from all over Asia. Last year, the LiFTED 50 blew up and our website even went down for a few hours. This year, we’ll have it secure so that everyone can see if Jay Park, Divine, and Rich Brian hold down the top spots this year or if new blood takes over.
Thank you to all the people who have been supporting LiFTED with traffic, likes, comments, shares, ideas, and ads. We’re just getting started on this journey.
