His love is anywhere on the spectrum

Many things have been written about Khantrast over the past year as he has really stepped his game up and entered into the public eye. His beats are always tight, his flow is impressive, and he also has an affinity for taking on subjects in a humorous manner that people wouldn’t approach in Hip Hop. A prime example is ‘ADD,’ his latest release where he discusses a wide range of mental illnesses.

Right out of the gate, Khantrast gets to rapping about neurodivergents and autism, then he goes into schizophrenia, Downs syndrome, anxiety, and special education. The overall tongue-in-cheek gist of the song is that no matter what disorders a woman has, if she’s got a good facecard, Khantrast is down for the get down.

The video for ‘ADD’ is set up like an episode of Barbie’s psych ward with Khantrast being the main therapist for Goth Barbie, ADHD Barbie, OCD Barbie, and more. The Barbies are diagnosed, and then they get ready to do some Tik Tok dances. ‘ADD’ takes on a risky subject and keeps Khantrast’s trajectory going upwards.
