‘GOAT’ alert: Jay Park out here rappin’ rappin’

The producer cypher with Lil Moshpit is what we’ve been waiting for

Jay Park has GOAT status. No debate. From K-pop star to elite rapper, R&B hitmaker, label boss, and soju slinger, he’s built a career that doubles as a blueprint for Asian artists everywhere.

For the last few years, Jay’s been leaning heavy into his Pop and R&B bag–and that’s cool. But at LiFTED, we’ve been waiting for rappin’ rappin’ Jay Park. The Sway-in-the-Morning energy. The hungry bars. The competitive edge.

On Thursday night, he delivered exactly that with ‘GOAT,’ his producer cypher with Lil Moshpit for Show Me the Money 12. Dark, glitchy, and cold-blooded, the track reminds everyone why Jay still sits near the top of the pyramid when it comes to pure mic skills.

Lil Moshpit’s warped, menacing beat gives Jay the perfect runway to flex. There’s a chip on his shoulder here like he’s not just out to participate in a show, but to reclaim territory. Every bar sounds intentional, like a statement to anyone who forgot what lane he really owns.

The black-and-white video seals the mood: distortion effects, goat imagery, and Lil Moshpit rocking a Mick Foley mask. If the SMTM12 hype wasn’t already bubbling, this just turned it to a boil. The GOAT is back in battle mode.
