Rapper Lil Uzi Vert recently went on social media to brandish his brand new US$24 million pink diamond that he had implanted into the middle of his forehead. Even though he teased the body modification for months, the public was still shocked that the rapper would set himself to look like Marvel’s Vision or Tsunade from the anime world.

In a recent podcast with rapper Fat Joe, Vert said that he picked out and started paying for the ‘10 almost 11 carat’ pink diamond from jeweler Simon Babaev in 2017. Initially, Vert thought it would be great to have as a ring, but he drinks a lot and ends up in precarious situations with no memory of the night before, so the valuable ring could disappear and be gone forever without a trace.

Eventually, Lil Uzi Vert settled on the middle of his face for the implant, but the jeweler wasn’t excited about it and tried to discourage him from the placement. Money talks, so Vert got his way and the pink diamond is now attached to a dermal implant on his forehead.

When questioned on his decision by Fat Joe, Vert said, “It’s almost insane to the average person or to any person. But I’m Lil Uzi Vert. I’m turnt up.”
