Italian Rap group DrINsaNE is off on an interesting start to their careers. With eight members, the group operates in a BROCKHAMPTON-like manner, where songs only feature relevant members when necessary. Their debut track, ‘Just A Boy,’ was recorded entirely in Japanese by the group’s two twins, Aiden and Aien, and it has turned them into viral sensations. The song is quirky and features the duo’s chipmunk-esque vocals blitzing across the equally frantic production. This incredibly fun song is a perfect fit for short-form social media videos.

Over the past month, ‘Just A Boy’ has taken on a life of its own. The song began circulating widely through fan edits of the anime Gachiakuta, spreading across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube at warp speed. What makes the story even more striking is that the spark came from the artists themselves. One of the first edits paired the track with Gachiakuta visuals, uploaded directly by DrINsaNE on Instagram.

From there, copycat edits followed quickly. Fans across platforms began reusing the track, creating their own versions and pushing the song further into anime-focused spaces online.

The result has been a sharp rise in streams, and strong momentum building across social media platforms. For DrINsaNE, this is a Cinderella-like moment with ‘Just a Boy’ pushed into the right corner of the internet, finding an audience far beyond what most debut releases reach.
