Vietnamese rapper Dangrangto has spent the past year proving he's more than the underground curiosity his Rap Việt breakout made him, and 'my lil b*tch' shows how wide that range now runs. Featuring TeuYungBoy, the track is on his debut album trái tim băng bó and has just been given an official music video.

DONAL, who produced the full album, keeps things smooth and low-key. The drums sit back in the mix while a steady hi-hat pattern runs throughout, lending the whole track a drone-like, psychedelic quality. Both rappers lather their verses in Auto-Tune and share the same cadence and flow, trading charismatic melodic performances that are purely addicting.

The writing splits the difference between flexing and devotion, a joke the chorus makes explicit with the lyrics "Thug song trữ tình," translated as “a sentimental thug song.” TeuYungBoy walks her home through the rain and admits he can be inattentive, while Dangrangto shrugs off Prada and Balenciaga before concluding that love can't be bought at any price.

That balance runs through the whole album, which traces a single relationship from infatuation through injury to moving on.
