This Friday, Bohan Phoenix is going to release his song ‘NO CHAIN,’ where he raps about his experience on The Rap of China and how a lot of the most talented MCs didn’t get a chain to get past the first round. It’s a story that is as old as Rap competitions because when art is judged, it’s not always the best art that wins.

Next Month on June 21, Bohan will bring ‘NO CHAINS’ with him to perform at Soho House in Hong Kong for LiFTED Lounge. He’s got a wide discography that includes songs in English and in Mandarin, all taken from his experience living in New York City and China’s Hip Hop Mecca, Chengdu, where he now resides. Bohan has the skills of a veteran MC as well as the collaboration list with a lot of good folks like the Higher Brothers, VaVa, Dumbfoundead, Ryan Hemsworth, and Howie Lee. His skill on stage is definitely awe-inspiring.

Along with Bohan will be NOVEL FRIDAY, one of Hong Kong’s fastest-rising homegrown talents. With a Thai-Chinese background, FRIDAY has a unique flow that got him signed to JB’s Greytone label.

The DJ for the night is the always dope MONSTA KEI, one of Hong Kong’s most notorious party-rocking DJs. At LiFTED’s Clockenflap afterparty with RAMENGVRL, MONSTA played a fresh set of R&B and Hip Hop that got the party poppin’ off.
