Badshah has done a lot of things in his music career, but on ‘Chimna,’ his latest video out yesterday, the Indian hitmaker dropped his first-ever Marathi Hip Hop record. The song is a collaboration with Bollywood’s Divya Kumar and legendary Marathi folk singer Nagesh Morwekar.

The video is over-the-top in all the right ways as many Indian weddings are. With the added star power of Marathi actress Neha Khan, Badshah goes to the west Indian state of Maharashtra in Kolhapur, a city on the banks of the Panchaganga River. There, he creates the ultimate celebratory anthem while observing wedding processions and mud wrestling.

Of ‘Chimna,’ Badshah said, “India's regional music is a goldmine and I want to celebrate every corner of it. 'Chimna' is my love letter to Maharashtra’s rich creative canvas. I am incredibly grateful for how this project turned out, and this one’s dedicated to all my day one Maharashtrian fans!”
