As soon as the first note of the uptempo horns hit on ALI & Zorn’s ‘FUNKIN’ BEAUTIFUL,’ it’s easy to tell this song is different. Besides the fact that it’s a bit of a Jazzy and Funky combo, it has an instant energy that makes you want to get up and Swing dance.

ALI [Alien Liberty International] is a Japanese band out of Shibuya that started making people dance in 2016. From hyperactive live shows to anime soundtracks, ALI became a band that was going places. Unfortunately, in 2021, the drummer was arrested for fraud and the original band fell apart. Now run solely by vocalist Leo Imamura, ALI has been grabbing dope rappers for features in 2026. Earlier in the year, ALI released ‘Golden Horizon’ with Awich, and now Zorn tears things up on ‘FUNKIN’ BEAUTIFUL.’

In a world full of Trap, Jersey, and Drill, Funk and Jazz fill those empty spots. Zorn raps on those same amazing horns right off the bat and then ALI belts out the tune. In Zorn’s second part, he even tosses some shade towards MCs who use ChatGPT instead of crafting 10 or 20 punchlines. Everything from the black-and-white video to the rapping and vocals in this song is ‘FUNKIN’ BEAUTIFUL.’
