Youngohm makes his soul-stirring return with ‘ไฟกลางคืน’

The 13-track album marks a new creative peak for Thailand’s biggest Rap star

There is no one in Asian Hip Hop like Youngohm. Actually, there’s no one in music like him. Thailand’s most influential rapper carries street credibility, raw emotion, and unshakeable artistic confidence in every bar. He’s beloved by the masses, but still moves like a man with nothing to prove.

The Kangol-crowned hitmaker has just dropped ไฟกลางคืน, a 13-track odyssey led by a title single of the same name. Translated to “nightlight,” the song is a tender, intoxicating dedication to the women of the night who’ve claimed pieces of his heart. It’s not quite a Rap track—but it’s NOT not Rap either. Instead, it’s unmistakably Youngohm: a soul-bending fusion of singing, rapping, confession, and conversation, delivered through his signature trembling warble.

The music video shows just how committed Youngohm and his team are to storytelling. In a world obsessed with 15-second hooks, he makes fans wait nearly 90 seconds before spitting a single bar. The result is a cinematic slow-burn that pulls viewers straight into nocturnal Bangkok with humid air, neon glow, heartbreak, smoke, and all. By the outro, a cloud of Thailand’s [still] legal green haze transports him to a surreal 1980s dreamscape, Kangol still intact, women still dangerous.
