YGG has been shorthand for Young God Gang for years now. The crew has been orbiting Manila's Young God Records, co-founded by producer Klumcee, with Shanti Dope and HELLMERRY, putting out a whole single around YGG back in 2023. Last week, they dropped 'SAY HELLO,' and it’s a menace.

The beat is a dark Trap banger that deliberately feels like you are about to get got in a back alley. With a sinister production that hands all three MCs the room they need, each of them takes it slow, and the restraint pays off. This is a showcase for intricate rhyme schemes to show how smoothly all three ride a track that lets them be the elite MCs that they are.

The writing stays hard the whole way. HELLMERRY opens boasting about the crew's blaze and its appetites, Scoop Dogg walks straight past his haters with a Glock 23 and a laser sitting in the bag, and the closing verse moves through ski masks and ricocheting rounds. The hook says the rest: "Say hello to Mah Glock."
