Yellow Claw & Yung Raja usher in festival season with ‘Killing It’

Dope verses & hard drops all the way through

After a few weeks of teasers, Trap OGs Yellow Claw and Singapore’s Yung Raja have dropped a banger called ‘Killing It’ just in time for festival season. The song slams up down and all around and is guaranteed to make people lose their minds.

In Hip Hop, Trap was the music made by those in the south, particularly Atlanta, and had a slow and brooding sound with heavy 808s and synths. The term Trap was adopted from the slang trap house, where drugs were being slung from. In the 2010s, Festival Trap basically combined EDM and Trap music, with hard drops and Rap samples.

Yellow Claw has been ‘Killing It’ with their Festival Trap in and around Asia for over a decade, so it’s only right that they get one of Asia’s most-revered MCs for a track for 2025. Yung Raja raps on the track as it starts and then the drop comes and the world ends. It’s so hard that it’s very easy to picture the headbanging and the mosh pits that open up as soon as it’s played. Yellow Claw deftly adds some Hindi horns in there as icing on the cake.

‘Killing It’ has summer anthem for the Festival Trap lovers written all over it.
