Trout Fresh introduces new MC feeeleven on ‘Don’t Be the Best’

Could it be called a slacker anthem?

Scrolling through social media consistently damages people’s brains because they have to see and hear high-energy motivational speakers like Tony Robbins pushing them to be great all the time. Taiwanese MC Trout Fresh puts on the brakes in his latest single, ‘Don’t Be the Best,’ by letting people know that they don’t always have to be number one. In the process, he introduces 22-year-old MC feeleven, a diamond in the rough that looks like he’s up next.

“Don’t be the best/Just be good” is Trout Fresh’s motto, and it’s not a bad one in today’s hyperspastic society. He further laments that sometimes he breaks glasses or even goes away for 24 hours, and people think it's mad. He raps in a casual and relaxed way that really fits his words on this one. On verse two, the slowed beat gets some Jersey Club sprinkled on it as MC feeeleven gets his time to shine as he raps double time about spirit bombs and starving ghosts. Most importantly, feeeleven shows a lot of promise for the future as soon as he gets on.

Trout Fresh and MC feeeleven are a good tag team proving, that you don’t have to be the best, just make sure each day is better than the last.
