Pharrell & NIGO reaffirm 20-year partnership through LV show

Paris Fashion Week did not disappoint

When Pharrell Williams and NIGO met in 2003, the two Hip Hop lovers and culture cornerstones hit it off. This past Tuesday at Paris Fashion Week, the Louis Vuitton show showcased their two-decade partnerships and where they think fashion is going.

While this week in Paris is the biggest and busiest in the fashion industry, there is nothing with more glitz, glam, and celebrity power than the LV show. Celebrities flock to anything Pharrell does, and adding NIGO into the mix just makes it that much cooler. The two designers have worked on Billionaire Boys Club, Bape, and countless others, and now LV comes with insane budgets.

In the courtyard of the Louvre, LVMH tycoon Bernard Arnault sat next to NBA icon-in-the-making Victor Wembanyama. NFL stars hobnobbed with rappers like Travis Scott. Takashi Murakami was even in the house to make the fashion show more enjoyable for everyone.

The show itself focused on Japanese craftsmanship with kimonos and denim pieces. There was even an LV lobster purse that got a lot of people talking. While the show, the setting, and the guests were good, the most amazing part of the night was that Hip Hop really took it this far.
